Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2007
This is our family nativity that Shannon made for us over 20 years ago.
Dear loved ones!
We've had a very eventful year. We have so much to be thankful for and we are
richly blessed!
In January we welcomed Bodhi to the family and it has been so much fun watching
him grow through the year. He'll be taking his first steps very soon! It's hard to imagine
he wasn't even here yet last Christmas.
Steve spent April and May in Atlanta having treatment for prostate cancer. His
prognosis is 100% recovery and he's back at work and doing very well. He was
able to stay with my cousin Andi and at her friend's apartment there so that
was an amazing blessing for him! I was able to visit him once while he was there,
which helped us survive the separation. I really enjoyed visiting Atlanta. If you ever
go there be sure to go to the aquarium and the botanical gardens!
One of the highlights of each year is our family vacation up north at Kilworry resort.
I can never get over how fortunate we are to have a place and time where we can gather
with so many family members in such a beautiful place! All of our kids and most of the
grandkids were there with us again.
In August another grandson, Ian, arrived. He and Bodhi will keep each other busy!
Max and Molly are engaged to be married this coming May. We're very happy to welcome
Molly, Ashlyn and Ian to the family.
We continue to enjoy our favorite hobby - ballroom dancing. It's great exercise and
something we love doing together - another blessing! If you get the American Profile magazine
as an insert to your paper, watch for an article mentioning us in spring of 08. (Maybe a photo, too!)
If you want to see family pictures, check out the PHOTO ALBUM You can also e-mail us at
Steve and Hilda I love e-mail so I hope you'll keep in touch that way. It's such a great way to
communicate!
May God's love shine in your lives and guide you in the coming year! Love, Hilda and Steve
"I need not see the Holy Child to know him for my King
I need not hear the voice of heaven's host re-echoing
For I have heard the Spirit's witness whispered from above
And my heart is filled with wonder
At a manger filled with Love
A voice as pure as angel-song has spoken from above
And my heart is filled with wonder
At a manger filled with Love " by Sally DeFord
